Italia-Russia business seminars reopen in Trieste after pandemic pause

September 23, 2021, Trieste, Moscow. The III Italian-Russian business Seminar for representatives of the local business community was held today in Trieste (Friuli Venezia Giulia region). The main topic of the discussion was the strategic role of Italy and Russia in the development of political and economic relations between Europe and Eurasia. Cooperation between the two countries in the trade, economic and financial spheres were among top subjects of the event. 

The seminar was held in a presence format, taking into account the existing administrative and sanitary restrictions. It was organized by the Italian non-profit association Conoscere Eurasia, as well as the Roscongress Foundation, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the government of the autonomous region of Friuli Venezia Giulia with the support of Generali, Rizzani de Eccher, Banca Intesa and Intesa Sanpaolo banking group. 

The participants were addressed by the Ambassador of Russia to Italy, Sergey Razov, representatives of the administration of the region and the city of Trieste, as well as entrepreneurs, heads of companies from the two countries. 

This business seminar was the first held in Italy by the Association Conoscere Eurasia after a one-and-a-half-year pause caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The last similar event in Italy was organized in February 2020. Russian-Italian business meetings in this format in the past months have been held only in Russia – in Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Tomsk, Kazan and twice in Yekaterinburg.
